Sectional Point Repair Lining

Targeted Trenchless Repairs Where Pipes Fail Most

Not every pipe problem requires a full-length solution. Sectional point repair lining allows TrenchFree to rehabilitate only the damaged portion of a pipeline, avoiding the cost and disruption of full replacement.

This trenchless approach is ideal for localized failures—cracks, fractures, root intrusion points or corroded sections—where the rest of the pipe remains in good condition.

We’ve invested in top tier trenchless equipment and technologies to ensure high quality results with minimal surface disruption. Our TrenchFree Cutter Robotic System enables us to go beyond standard lateral reinstatements. We’ve used it to cut through obstructions and immediately seal the area with sectional liners, restoring system integrity without excavation.

How It Works

Using CCTV inspection, we pinpoint the exact location and extent of damage. A custom-length fiberglass or resin-saturated liner is positioned at the failure point and cured in place, restoring structural integrity to that section without affecting the surrounding pipe.

Common Applications

  • Isolated cracks or fractures
  • Root intrusion points
  • Localized pipe wall deterioration
  • Joint separation or offset joints
  • Hard-to-access or deep lines where excavation would be costly

Benefits

  • No trenching, minimal surface restoration, no wholesale landscape damage
  • Significantly lower cost than full pipe replacement
  • Fast turnaround—most repairs completed in hours, not days
  • Minimal service interruption for occupied buildings or active facilities

When to Choose Point Repair vs. Full Lining

Point repair is the right choice when inspection reveals isolated damage in an otherwise sound pipe. If multiple failure points exist or the pipe shows systemic deterioration, full-length CIPP may be more cost-effective long-term. Our team provides honest assessments to help you make the right call.
